This week we will be finishing our Grammar Voyage book.  We will discuss split infinitives.  Each student will construct and write several sentences with a split infinitive and share it with the class.    We will then review over sentence structures and sentence purposes.   

Math For Week of December 7-11, 2015

In Math this week we will on

Monday and Tuesday- we will finish plotting points to translate or reflect across axis, then we will work with functions (rules that assigns to each input value a unique output value)

Wednesday and Thursday- we will graph functions

Friday we will explore the general form of a linear function

Monday we will be reviewing over our Grammar Voyage test.  The rest of the week we will be finishing our writing project.  The students will have the experience of peer editing.  This will provide the opportunity for the students to work collaboratively.  We will discuss the importance of the writing process (prewriting, drafting, revising, editing, and publishing).   Through this writing process we will focus on writing fluency, vocabulary, grammar, and creative thinking skills.
