Keeping In Touch ~ January 4 - 8, 2016

As we return to school on Monday, January 4, we begin a:

  • New Year . . . 2016
  • New Spring Semester
  • New Michael Clay Thompson Book (Grammar)
  • New Bible Class Study Unit 4
We have completed our ELA book, Grammar Voyage.  Starting our Spring semester, we will begin our new ELA book, The Magic Lens I by Michael Clay Thompson.  The Magic Lens I is based on the four-level sentence analysis. The analysis will focus on parts of speech, parts of sentence, phrases, and clauses.  Sentence diagramming will be integrated in several areas.  We will work with punctuation at each level and practice incorporating it at every stage.

During our Fall semester, we studied Paul's missionary journeys. For our Spring semester, we will be looking at several of the epistles (letters) the Apostle Paul wrote to the early churches.  Each epistle has a distinct focus.  During the month of January, our attention will be centered on the epistle or letter to the Galatians.
